At Under the Weather®, our mission is to create memorable outdoor experiences with our weatherproof portable pop-up Pods. We believe everyone deserves a safe space that’s comfortable, accessible and inviting, whether they’re living alone, as a family or as a community. We also believe in the importance of giving back to the community which supports us.
Each of us is connected to a cause as a result of personal experiences or the experiences of our beloved friends and family and every cause we choose to support is a reflection of something near and dear to someone on our team.
When we feel safe and sound, we dream, grow and contribute to making this world a better place for everyone.
American Heart Association
For the founders of Under the Weather, the American Heart Association has long been a cause they’ve cared about. Rick’s father died of a heart attack in 1999. Dr. Pescovitz left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his loss left a big hole in our hearts. And Kelly’s mom has congestive heart failure and has benefitted from ongoing research. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide and stroke ranks second globally. For nearly 100 years the AHA has been fighting heart disease, and stroke, and striving to save and improve lives. heart.org

Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. It’s also where they can learn, dream, live and run. By using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running, girls can gain a better understanding of who they are and what’s important to them. In doing so, they also learn ways to take charge of their lives and define their future, on their terms. And we couldn’t agree more. girlsontherun.org
Support Organization for Trisomy (SOFT)
We’ve selected this all-volunteer non-profit because they offered tremendous support to the family of our Digital Marketing Manager, Jeff, whose one-month-old son Jackson passed away in June 2018 due to complications from Trisomy 13. SOFT is a network of families and professionals dedicated to providing much needed support and understanding to families involved with issues and decisions surrounding diagnosis and care of Trisomy 13, 18 and other related chromosomal disorders. trisomy.org
